The importance of gratitude

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ve learned over the years that taking just a couple minutes each day to write down what I’m grateful for has a huge effect on my outlook on life. I think it’s true that what you focus on expands. If I focus on problems and difficulties I will see them everywhere and will begin expecting to find them. However, the opposite is also true! If I focus on beauty and acts of kindness and love I actually start seeing these things more and more. I’ve learned you can create a snowball of negative thoughts or one of grateful, positive thoughts.

So with that in mind, I’m glad to share with you this music video from Jason Mraz. It’s a few years old but I just love the message of the lyrics (may I suggest you turn on the CC option at the bottom of the video to see the lyrics as you listen)? Wherever you are, no matter what difficulties you may be facing, I’m cheering you on. And I want you to have it all. All the good and the blessings and the vision to see your way forward.
